Service Description

At South Downs Honey, we offer a unique experience for those who purchase our Meet the Bees session. You will have the opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of bees as you join us for a hands-on beekeeping session. Get up close and personal with our colonies, witness hive inspections, and learn about the inner workings of a bee hive. Our knowledgeable beekeeper will guide you through the process, pointing out honey stores, brood and pollen stores, and hopefully, a chance to meet the queen bee herself. Immerse yourself in the world of beekeeping with South Downs Honey. After the inspection we will sit down and have a picnic lunch or afternoon tea of local produce. Where we can talk about everything we have done and seen. The session will last between 2 and 3 hours. You will need to bring boots but a bee suit and gloves are included and we will take photos and video as a memento of your time with the bees.
